Performing arts students who recently graduated from Greenfield-Central High School took a senior trip to New York City this month. There were 41 people on the trip, including 32 graduated students. They saw “Wicked” and “Hamilton” as well as the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, the Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square, Little Italy, and a harbor dinner cruise that passed the Statue of Liberty. “It is a wonderful trip every year, and this year was no exception,” said Chris Wing, director of bands, in an email. “The students were able to have several hours every day of free time to explore the things that interested them, shop, eat wherever they choose, and simply experience New York City. We haven’t gone since 2019 because of the COVID pandemic, but we are already looking forward to and planning for 2024.”
