Memorial exhibit coming to HCPL

GREENFIELD – A special exhibit is coming to Hancock County just in time for Memorial Day.

The Faces of our Fallen from Indiana Memorial Wall will be on display May 25-30 at the GBC Community Room of the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. The touring photo display honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the War on Terror.

Greenfield WorkOne is presenting the exhibit, beginning with a public ceremony at 3 p.m. May 25. The exhibit can be viewed from 3-8 p.m. May 25; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 26; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 27; 1-4 p.m. May 28 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 30. For more, visit hcplibrary.org.

CASA raising funds for “Dream Big!”

GREENFIELD – Friends of CASA is seeking donations for the 2023 Silent Auction fundraiser in June. Funds will go toward the non-profit’s program “Dream Big!” which enriches the lives of abused and neglected children by providing positive educational experiences, like sports fees and equipment; dance, gymnastic or music lessons; educational camps; enrichment activities; birthday or holiday gifts and more.

Friends of CASA supports Hancock County Court Appointed Special Advocates. The silent auction, which will also include a trivia event, will be at Daniel’s Vineyard in McCordsville June 15. To learn about donating, email [email protected] or call 317-477-1304.

Lions Club to fundraise through flower sales

GREENFIELD – The Greenfield Lions Club will host a Memorial Day flower sale this weekend.

Flower cones, saddles, stands and hanging baskets will be available; prices vary according to size. All proceeds fund various Lions Club projects.

The event will be noon to 6 p.m. May 26-29 in the Green Meadows Shopping Center parking lot, located at State Street and Green Meadows Drive in Greenfield.

New Palestine prepares for SummerFest

NEW PALESTINE – SummerFest in New Palestine will be June 23-24 at 11 E. Main St.
