HANCOCK COUNTY — Three Hancock County basketball standouts are among the participants listed for the upcoming 15th Annual Indiana Basketball All-Star Classic to be played at Anderson University’s O.C. Lewis Gymnasium (inside the Kardatzke Wellness Center) June 16-17.

Three boys all-star games will be played on June 16. Four girls all-star contests will take place on June 17.

Mt. Vernon’s Luke Ertel is listed as part of the 4 p.m. Futures Boys Game for players in the 2025 and 2026 class.

Ertel, a 6-1 guard, recently completed his freshman season with the Marauders. A second-team All-Hancock County performer, Ertel averaged 13 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists for a Mt. Vernon team that finished 16-9 and runner-up in the Muncie Central Sectional.

Eastern Hancock’s Ruby White and Greenfield-Central’s Chaney Brown will be part of the June 17 games.

White, a 6-1 center, helped lead the Royals to a school record 23 wins, a regional championship and berth into the Class 2A semi-state. White averaged 8.4 points and 6.3 rebounds. She was named first team All-Hancock County.

She is scheduled to play in the Junior Girls 2024 game on June 17 at 10:30 a.m.

Brown is playing in the classic for the second straight year.

She averaged 14.3 points and 6.0 rebounds for a Cougar team that finished 14-10 this past season.

A 5-9 guard/forward and second team All-Hancock County choice, Brown is playing in the Futures Girls (2025/2026) game on June 17. It’s the final of the four games that day and scheduled to be played at 6:30 p.m.
