FUSE casino fundraiser planned

GREENFIELD – A casino style fundraiser will benefit Families United for Support and Encouragement.

FUSE Casino Night is scheduled for 6 p.m. April 28 at the Sarah Burke 4-H Exhibit Hall at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, 620 Apple St., Greenfield. Early bird tickets are $40; starting April 1 tickets are $45. Admission includes a pasta dinner, two drink tickets and gaming chips; participants must be at least 21.

FUSE empowers families and individuals with disabilities and mental health needs. All proceeds go toward offering free and low-cost FUSE programs. Visit fuseinc.org for more.

Chamber to host graphic design workshop

GREENFIELD – Those looking to boost their small business marketing game might consider a coaching workshop on Canva coming up.

The 90-minute class, hosted by the Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce, will include information on the graphic design platform Canva, insider tips and tricks, and how to create eye-catching graphics. The workshop is at 6:30 p.m. April 12; cost is $5. Sign up at greenfieldcc.org.

Genealogy course coming up

GREENFIELD – Learn about family historical research in an upcoming event at the Hancock County Public Library.

Genealogy Basics will feature Paul McNeil, a reference librarian and Hancock County Genealogist. McNeil will highlight what can be found in the local history room at the HCPL, and what library resources are available online. Participants will also learn how to start a family tree.

The event is at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at the main branch of the library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. Learn more or register at hcplibrary.org.
