GREENFIELD
On December 12, 2022, John Bell Witter left this earthly world to join his wife, Jenny, and parents, Floyd and Mary K. Witter, in heaven.
John was born June 19,1945, and grew up in College Corner, Ohio. During his youth, he was active in baseball, basketball and band. John served as president of the class of 1963 at Union High School. He then went on to study accounting at Ball State University where he met the love of his life, Jenny Willis. They were married July 22, 1967. He then served in the Army and was deployed to Germany. Upon returning from Germany, he received his MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College.
John retired from Mobil Mining and Minerals in 1996. After his official retirement, John went on to work for multiple smaller companies, the most recent being Hancock County Senior Services in Greenfield, Indiana where he served for 10 years.
Through the years, John enjoyed bowling, golf, coaching youth sports, participating in band boosters and volunteer in gas a fireman and EMT.
John is survived by his three children; Aimee Witter, Todd Witte rand Brent (Hillary) Witter; five grandchildren; sister, Karen (Scott) Kleine and many nieces and a nephew.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Union County Foundation, Inc. (404 Eaton St., Liberty, IN 47353). A memorial service will be held at a later date.
