Business briefs: Tourism partners invited to event

GREENFIELD – Managers of restaurants, retail stores, attractions, hotel or recreational facilities, as well as event coordinators are invited to a Hancock County Tourism Partner event coming up Nov. 15.

The event, hosted by the Hancock County Tourism and Visitor Center, will be at 9:30 a.m.; 2:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. People interested in attending should reserve a time slot. The meetings are expected to last one hour. Participants will learn about a free opportunity to provide community information to a website with interactive features for places and events. There will also be refreshments and gifts for attendees.

New Pal Chamber to host December events

NEW PALESTINE – The New Pal Chamber of Commerce has two events coming up. The New Pal Chamber Christmas Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 6. The New Pal Chamber Christmas Walk is scheduled for Dec. 10; vendor opportunities are available from 2-6 p.m. at Winterfest at Depot St.; Chamber members get vendor space for free. Farmers market changes to winter schedule

GREENFIELD – The Farmers Market at the Fairgrounds has switched to its 2022 Winter Market season, with modified times open to the public.

The market, at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds, is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first and third Saturday of each month. Winter market dates are Nov. 19; Dec. 3 and 17; Jan. 7 and 2; Feb. 4 and 18; March 4 and 18; and April 1 and 15. About 20 vendors are expected at winter markets, offering baked goods, breads, meats, cheeses, apples and apple butter, eggs, honey products, winter produce, mushrooms, woodwork and more.
