Pet art event Oct. 29

MCCORDSVILLE – “Paint Your Pet” in a benefit event for the Hancock County Humane Society at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at Scarlet Lane Brewery, 7724 Depot St., McCordsville.

The painting can be done traditional or Halloween style. Artist Zach Lowe will create a sketch in advance of the event, and all the materials will be provided for people to paint it themselves. Tickets are $45-$50, and $25 from each ticket will be donated to the Hancock County Humane Society. For details or to sign up, visit facebook.com/hancockhumane.

Family fall art event set

GREENFIELD – A family collaborative painting class is coming up Nov. 5 at Greenfield Parks and Recreation Art Studio.

At $10 per family member, each person gets a canvas to paint, fall embellishments to choose from and art instruction. The event is 10-11:30 a.m. Nov. 5; pre-registration is required at parks.greenfieldin.org under “Family Events” or call 317-477-4340.

McCordsville sites to host blood drives

MCCORDSVILLE – Two blood drives are coming up in western Hancock County. A drive will be at Hancock Wellness Center, 8505 N. Clearview Drive, McCordsville, 1:45-6 p.m. Oct. 20. McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway St., McCordsville, will host a drive from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 27.
