Grants to support womens, girls programming

GREENFIELD – Two Hancock County groups for women recently received grants for programming.

The Women’s Resource Center of Hancock County and Girls on the Run of Central Indiana received grants totaling $32,335 from the Women’s Fund through the Hancock County Community Foundation.

The Women’s Fund is celebrating 15 years and addresses needs and issues affecting women and families, with self-sufficiency being a grantmaking priority, according to a press release from the HCCF.

A total of $25,868 was granted to the Women’s Resource Center, which provides mentoring, guidance and connection to programs and services that help women and their families. An additional $6,467 was granted to Girls on the Run, which supports physical and emotional health programming for Greenfield and Eastern Hancock elementary and intermediate school girls.
