To the Editor:
How is it possible that the President of the Hancock County Commissioners is working for a firm that Hancock County does business with?
And how is it possible that this same person signed a contract with them that binds the county to hire the firm to handle a contract to spend $5,575,000 of taxpayer money? And do it without the consent of the full board of commissioners?
Is this not a huge conflict of interest under Indiana law?
Why would Hancock County voters want this person representing them?
In case you are interested in voting to replace him, his name is John Jessup. I will remember him, and I hope that you do as well, when I see his name on the ballot.
