GREENFIELD
Ancil W. Paugh, age 85, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis on November 26, 1936 to Kathryn M. (Wicker) and Ancil R. Paugh. He was a 1954 graduate from Franklin Township High School and attended Ball State University. On December 12, 1959, Ancil married Barbara A. (Wyatt) in Fortville.
Before retiring in 2000, he worked at IMI for 33 years. Ancil was a member at Bethel Baptist Church for many years. He was also a member and past master of the McCordsville Masonic Lodge which later merged and became the Eden Lodge.
Ancil is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Paugh of Greenfield; children, DeWayne Paugh (wife, Kelly) of Pendleton, Bryan Paugh (wife, Brenda) of Straughn, and Anita Workman (husband, Rick) of Angola; grandchildren, Caylan Martin, Caleb Paugh, Nathan Paugh and Aaron Paugh; 9 great-grandchildren; and twin sister, Ann K. Muncie (husband, Mark) of FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
