Free family movie planned in Riley Park

GREENFIELD – A free family movie is planned for Friday, July 22.

“The Mitchells vs. The Machines” will begin at 9:30 p.m. at Riley Park’s sledding hill. The all-ages event is presented by the Hancock County Public Library. Parking is available at 210 Apple St., Greenfield; bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Free concert planned for New Palestine

GREENFIELD – New Palestine’s Music on Depot continues with a free concert at 6 p.m. Friday, July 22. The Toons will perform at 11 E. Main St., New Palestine. The event is hosted by New Palestine Main Street.

The organization also hosts Mercantile Markets on select Sundays throughout the summer, featuring local vendors. The next Mercantile Market is July 24 on Depot Street. Visit facebook.com/NewPalestineMainStreet for updates.

“Glow in the Park” scheduled

GREENFIELD – A slip and slide down the Riley Park sledding hill, glow sticks and a splash pad party are planned for this Saturday.

Glow in Riley Park is a free event hosted by Greenfield Parks and Recreation, from 8-10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23. No registration is required; all activities and giveaways are free. Children under 18 must have an adult sign a waiver at the slip and slide at the event.

The event is in honor of Park and Recreation Month.

Classic car events scheduled

MCCORDSVILLE – Cars and Coffee events will be Saturday mornings this summer at Outlook Christian Church, 6531 N. 600W., McCordsville.

The events are scheduled for 9-11 a.m. July 23, Aug. 6 and Aug. 20. Search “Outlook Cars & Coffee” on Facebook for updates.

Trivia event to benefit soup kitchen

GREENFIELD – A trivia event will benefit the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen Saturday, July 23.

The event, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Elk’s Club with James Wood of Green Light Trivia, is $10 for admission. An optional dinner is provided by Greenfield Elks for $7 and the game starts at 6 p.m. The club is located at 820 S. State St., Greenfield. For more, email [email protected] or call 317-492-9900.

New Palestine library to host outdoor concert

NEW PALESTINE – Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the back lawn of the Sugar Creek Branch of the Hancock County Public Library for a free, live concert with Mank & Sass. The event is 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 27.

The Midwestern singer/songwriter duo has a decade of cross-country touring under their collective belt, with a blend of soulful, bluesy music with a hint of funk and rock. Their debut album, Midnight & Noon, was released in June 2018.
