GREENFIELD – Greenfield-Central High School teacher Sarah McCall was presented with the Jefferson Award last month for her ongoing work and dedication to the student body of G-CHS.

McCall was presented with the award by the G-C Jobs for America’s Graduates Career Association. JAG students presenting the award included Meagan Clark, Jordan Anderson and Breanna Keaton.

The award from Multiplying Good (formerly the Jefferson Awards Foundation) was founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Sen. Robert Taft Jr. and Sam Beard and is one of the nation’s most prestigious awards for service, according to a newsletter from the school.

Multiplying Good believes in public service, not just because it improves communities but because it changes the lives of those who participate, helping youth build skills and confidence to be leaders, changemakers, entrepreneurs and global citizens. Since 1972, more than 63,000 people have been honored.
