GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Veterans Service Office will soon also be open on Fridays to help veterans navigate the bureaucracy to obtain benefits.
The office, in the Memorial Building at 98 E. North St., is currently open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Starting July 1, it will also be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.
The office assists veterans and their families in obtaining a number of benefits to which they may be entitled, including health care, disability compensation, pension and educational, financial and vocational rehabilitation assistance.
