PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA

With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paula Kay Grose on May 5 at her home in Port Richey, Florida, with family by her side. Paula was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who touched everyone she knew and met with her kindness, loving words, and infectious smile. The many who were blessed to know her knew she had a heart of gold and would go out of her way to help others, and her devotion to her family, friends, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was a quality that inspired others. Paula enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, knitting, and sewing. She had two holes in one while playing golf and proudly displayed her 5lb?crappie fish on the wall in her home. To say she left an imprint on our hearts would not even begin to describe her impact on everyone she knew and loved. Paula will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, but we will forever cherish her memories and know that we were blessed to have such a fantastic woman be a part of our lives.

On July 1, 1940, Paula was born to Joseph C. Leary and Pauline W. Pope (Whitaker) in Greenfield, Indiana. Paula had three siblings, Carl Leary, John Leary, and Elise Blanchard. Paula married her one true love, Melvin E. Grose, and had four children, Marcia L. Chaney, Jennifer E. Rowe, Douglas E. Grose, and Angela D. Grose (Yonathon Butler). Paula had five grandchildren, Melissa L. Langston, C. Ryan Langston (Tricia), Dalton G. Rowe, Ataviyon J. Butler, and Amaya D. Butler; 5 great-grandchildren, Mykaela M. (Duncan), Valangeon (Jordan), Alexa D. Warren, Jocelynn N. Duncan, Brooklynn N. Langston, and Garrett W. Rowe; and five great-great-grandchildren. Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pauline, her three siblings Carl, John, and Elise, her husband Melvin, her daughter Jennifer, and her son Douglas; and is survived by her two daughters, Marcia and Angela, and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life for Paula on June 25, 2022, at Hawks Tail Golf Course banquet hall from 4 pm – 8 pm.

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
