HANCOCK COUNTY — Three members of the county prosecutor’s staff have won recognition from a state organization.

Michelle L. Poppino, director of operations; Susan Sherwood, director of child support; and paralegal Lisa Pugh were recently honored for their years of service by the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council at the organization’s winter conference.

“They deserve the recognition,” Prosecutor Brent Eaton said. “There are just a lot of little things they all three do that never get recognized and they do those things for us all the time to make us better.”

All three are veteran members of the staff. Pugh is in her 18th year, and Sherwood has served close to 20. Poppino, who has been with the office for 13 years, is one of the best in the state at her job, Eaton said.

“All three of these women put the county first,” Eaton said.

The three women were commended for 10 years or more of service in support of public safety and prosecuting crimes.

The Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council is a nonpartisan, independent organization made up of 91 prosecuting attorneys and governed by a 10-person board of directors.
