FORTVILLE
Julia M. Duzan, 83, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Greenfield. She was born November 27, 1938, in Anderson, IN to Charles H. and Violet Smith) Tomey. Julia was the owner and operator of Tomey’s Bait &Tackle and drove a school bus for Hamilton Southeastern Schools for 17 years. Julia graduated from the old Fortville High School in 1956, was a member of the Fortville Christian Church and had been a member of the Fortville Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 149 for over 50 years.
Julia is survived by daughters: Candy Duzan and Toy Simmons of Fortville, Penny Wiseman of McCordsville; grandchildren: Sean (Deann) Simmons; Brandon (Alyssa) Wiseman; Kayla (Mike) Warrum; Kiefer (Alexa) Wiseman and Bailey Wiseman; great-grandchildren: Molly and Paige Simmons, Walter and Jack Wiseman, Blakely Wiseman and Paisley Warrum; sister Patricia Dyer of Fortville. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill D. Duzan and her parents.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm at Seals Funeral Home &Cremation Services, Fortville. A Celebration of Julia’s life will begin at 7:00 pm following the visitation. Private burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fortville Christian Church 9450 N. 200 West Fortville, IN 46040.
