Town’s Subway moving, updating

FORTVILLE — The Subway restaurant in town is moving down the street into a new building.

The sandwich shop is currently located at 323 Oak St. — the northeast corner of Broadway and Oak streets. According to information filed with the town, the business is moving to a planned new building of about 2,000 square feet on a currently empty lot at 407 E. Broadway — the northeast corner of Broadway and Walnut streets.

Credit union coming to town

FORTVILLE — Fort Wayne-based 3Rivers Federal Credit Union plans to bring a location to an empty lot at the northeast corner of Broadway Street and Garden Street/Vitality Drive.

The site is across Broadway Street from the property housing a Community Physician Network and its outpatient lab.

According to information filed with the town, the credit union location will be just over 3,000 square feet and have a drive-through.

3Rivers Federal Credit Union started in 1935 as the International Harvester Company Fort Wayne Works Employees Federal Credit Union and has since grown to over 100,000 members across 20 branches, according to its website.

Main Street seeks volunteers

GREENFIELD — The city’s nonprofit organization representing downtown — Greenfield Main Street — is in search of volunteers for its committees.

The Organization Committee focuses on increasing Greenfield Main Street’s volunteer base and building partnerships with other local groups to build consensus and cooperation. It meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m.

The Economic Vitality Committee focuses on small business development and retention and oversees the Downtown Dollars Program. It meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m.

The Design Committee focuses on all aspects of downtown’s physical appearance, including reviewing Downtown Improvement Grant Program applications. It meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m.

The Promotion Committee focuses on marketing downtown and creating community events. It meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m.
