Nancy Beth Smith-Call, 69, of Muncie, IN, passed away at 10:48 PM, Monday, December 20th, 2021 peacefully while in the company of family members at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.
Nancy was born in Greenfield, IN, on December 4, 1952, a daughter of the late Jacqueline Jean (Wickard) and Donald Richard Smith. She was a 1971 graduate of Greenfield Central and went on to receive her Master’s Degree in clinical social work from IUPUI in Richmond, IN.
Nancy was the loving wife of Ronald H. Call who she happily married on October 5, 2003. She was a loving mother and grandmother with a tough as nails attitude. She enjoyed animals, horseback riding, sewing, cooking, baking, camping, canoeing, traveling, listening to country and classic rock music, collecting pewter dragons, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ron, three sons; Matthew W. Gilliland (wife Cyndi), Mitchell A. Gilliland (wife Tori), Brenton Call (wife Bethany), two daughters; Molly M. Downey, Kaleigh Lee (husband Josh), two brothers; Randy Smith (wife April), Mark Smith (wife Leslie), two sisters; Alice Circle (husband Chuck), Marcia Smith-Shull, ten grandchildren; Cody Gilliland, Gage Downey, Dathon Gilliland, Kelly Gilliland, Phebe Gilliland, Roland Gilliland, Jonathan Call, Allison Call, Makenia Call, Violet Lee, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Donald and Jacqueline Smith.
At Nancy’s request there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Farmland Chapel.
