Jacob Ronick receives first JAG courage award

GREENFIELD – Jacob Ronick was presented with the first Greenfield-Central JAG Courage Award.

Ronick is a 2021 Greenfield-Central graduate and an alumnus for Jobs for America’s Graduates. The award will be presented annually to a GC JAG alumnus who demonstrates JAG competencies through words and deeds, and for exhibiting strength and courage in the face of adversity.

Ronick was featured in the Daily Reporter earlier this year. Born with a hole behind his eye, he underwent numerous surgeries. In 2017, a cancerous growth was discovered in his leg, and he underwent surgery and continues radiation treatment regularly.

The trophy was presented by G-C JAG Career Association Officers Breanna Keston, Maegan Clark and Jordan Anderson.
