GREENFIELD — Hancock Regional Hospital received an “A” grade from Leapfrog Hospital Safety in the national organization’s Fall 2021 rankings. Leapfrog Hospital Safety bestowed the national recognition for the hospital’s achievement in protecting patients from “sickness, harm or error” while in the hospital’s care.
This is the third consecutive time Hancock Regional has received the “A” grade distinction, after doing so in the fall of 2020 and spring of 2021.
“I want to thank all of the Hancock Health physicians, nurses, and other staff for the tremendous work they do for our patients,” said Steve Long, president and CEO for Hancock Health. “Patient safety is not just the work of one person, it has to be a team effort. Throughout a challenging year that has seen our community battling a global pandemic, we have never once lowered our standards or expectations for patient care.”
