INDIANAPOLIS — The Salvation Army is hosting Coats for Kids giveaway at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Oct. 16, and advance registration is required this year “shop in-person” event.

An anticipated 2,500 children will be served this fall through the event. Coats for Kids serves any school-aged children in central Indiana in need of warm winter gear. To register, visit salarmy.org/C4K21 and provide information about the number, size and gender of coats. Once submitted, parents will receive a confirmation via email. Parents are encouraged to register their children early before space runs out.

Volunteers are still ended for set-up week Oct. 11-15 and distribution day, Oct. 16. Visit SalvationArmyIndiana.org/Volunteer to get involved. Bins collecting coats will remain out at Classic Cleaners locations through Oct. 8 for donations; locations can be found at ClassicCleaners.net.
