Gene David Bricker, 86, of Wilkinson, IN passed away on September 17, 2021 at his home. He was born on September 2, 1935 in Jackson County, IN to Paul and Mary Lucille (Kennedy) Bricker. Gene married the love of his life, Ann Couch, on September 22, 1956 at Wilkinson Church of Christ. Gene faithfully served our country in the United States Army/National Guard for 8 years while he was working his way through school. He was also a member of the 38th Infantry Division band. Gene graduated from Charlottesville Highschool in 1953 and then made his way to Butler University for a music education major. He was a member of the Butler University Band during his time there. After 2 years at Butler, he decided to start his engineering career. He attended and graduated from the first class of the Anderson Apprentice School of Engineer & Design. He also attended the Delco-Remy Engineering Design School. Gene was a lifetime farmer and he worked for Delco-Remy as a Design Engineer for 37 years where he was awarded a design patent. Gene found his spiritual home at Wilkinson Church of Christ and was a faithful member for many years. Gene loved, to drive around, go out to eat at all kinds of different places, his dogs, and farming.

Gene will be dearly missed by his wife of 64 years, Ann; his sons, Gerald (Lark) Bricker, Dennis (Bridget) Bricker, and Jeff (Michelle) Bricker; his grandchildren, Jon (Jenny) Bricker, Jeremy (Kelsi) Bricker, Jacob (Shelly) Bricker, and Sam Bricker; and his great-grandchildren, Morgan Bricker, Isaiah Bricker, Lucas Bricker, and Trinity Bricker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and great-granddaughter Kylie Ann Bricker.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, IN 46186. The funeral ceremony will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in McCray Cemetery. All memorial contributions in Gene’s name may be gifted to Wilkinson Church of Christ.
