Tails aplenty at library Saturday

GREENFIELD — Visit with cows, donkeys, sheep, goats, alpacas, rabbits and more while bidding a furry farewell to Hancock County Public Library’s “Tails and Tales” summer reading club.

Barnyard Party Pals will bring the whole farm to the library’s parking lot from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7. Pony rides are $4 per ride. Summer club members are encouraged to pick up any remaining prizes earned throughout the summer by reading and logging minutes.

Free “Bolt” flick Saturday

GREENFIELD — School may have just begun, but families can still enjoy the warm summer air and a free outside flick. Stillinger’s Sunset Movie Series continues with “Bolt” Saturday, Aug. 7, followed by “Holes” Aug. 21 and “Hoosiers” Sept. 4. Movies are 7:30-10:30 p.m. on the lawn of Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St. Free tickets can be reserved at celebratelife.stillingerfamily.com/movies.

Community fun this weekend in McCordsville

McCORDSVILLE — A video game truck, monster truck, public safety vehicles and more will be featured in McCordsville Friday, Aug. 6, in McCordsville Town Hall Park, 6280 W. 800N.

McCordsville Community Day will also include free food and a bounce house. Participants of the free event are encouraged to meet and greet members of the town’s public safety agencies. The event is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
