CARTHAGE
Rose E. Tanksley, 86, of Carthage passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Golden Living Center in Greenfield. She was born on August 25, 1934 in Fillmore, Indiana to the late Cecil and Avaril (Smith) Huller.
Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren, working word search puzzles, playing bingo and listening to country music. She worked in the kitchen for several nursing homes as a dietary manager. Rose attended the Greensboro Church of the Nazarene.
Rose is survived by her children, Marsha (Martin) Sneed of New Castle, Patricia Hyatt of Carthage and Harry (Karen) Tanksley of Connersville; grandchildren, Mellissa Asberry, Joseph Sneed, Michelle Sisiliano, Daniel Tanksley, David Tanksley, Cindy Newkirk, Jason Davis and Robert Davis; brother, CJ (Beverly) Huller.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Davis; grandson, Brandon Hyatt; granddaughter, Jessica Tanksley; great-great grandson, Nathanial Sisiliano.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Rev. Randy Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
