Sheriff Brad Burkhart welcomes the department’s newest deputy, Danielle Pruitt. Pruitt is married and a mother of two children and is a Hancock County resident. Pruitt most recently had been an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department since 2019 and has completed training at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Her husband is also an officer with IMPD. She has started her training with the sheriff’s department. She will spend time on every shift learning the department’s policies and procedures before being assigned a position.
