GREENFIELD — Bradley United Methodist Church will host the 37th annual Strawberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 11 in the parking lot at the southwest corner of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The event will include strawberries, ice cream and homemade shortcake. Pre-sale tickets are available for $5 at Cynthia’s Hallmark, McCleerey’s Sporting Goods and Ye Olde Head Shoppe. Tickets are $6 at the door. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Hancock County Food Pantry, the Hancock Hope House, Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, Love, INC, The Landing Place and the Dixie Ross Memorial Scholarship Fund at Bradley Preschool. GREENFIELD – The Twenty North Gallery, 20 N. State St. will host an artists’ reception for its Will Vawter show beginning at 6 p.m. June 11. Awards will be presented at 7 p.m. along with live music in the Living Alley on North St. between State and Pennsylvania Streets behind the gallery. On June 12, Hancock County Arts will continue the celebration of Will Vawter’s 150th birthday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Living Alley, with art activities, Haley Jonay entertainment and birthday cake. INDIANAPOLIS – The 18th annual Slamology automotive and music festival returns to Lucas Oil Raceway, 10267 E. State Road 136, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 12 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 13. Slamology features more than 2,000 custom vehicles, automotive contests throughout the weekend, live music and a vendor midway. Event highlights include the largest Car Stereo Sound Off in the world, the Lowest Vehicle Limbo Contest, a bikini contest and a family fun zone.
