HANCOCK COUNTY — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department has opened the hiring process for merit deputies. Anyone interested in joining the department may contact Capt. Robert Harris at [email protected] no later than 4 p.m. May, 28. The first step in the hiring process will be physical agility testing on Saturday, June 5. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma/GED; be at least 21 years old; possess a current valid drivers license; and have a clean criminal record.
