HANCOCK COUNTY — Numerous inappropriate photos and videos of underage girls, including some from a well-know national child exploitation case, have ensnared a Greenfield man who is now facing multiple felony crimes against children.

Daniel W. Elliott, 51, 500 block of Pratt Street, was arrested Thursday, April 29 and has been charged with two different Level 4 felony child exploitation charges with an aggravating factor; a Level 5 felony count of child pornography with an aggravating factor; and a Level 6 felony count of child pornography.

Officials with the Hamilton County Metro Child Exploitation Task Force identified Elliott, whom officials said in a probable cause affidavit engaged in child exploitation and dissemination of child pornography crimes.

According to the affidavit, between December 2020 and January 2021, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children generated 10 cyber tip-line reports associated with an IP address belonging to Elliott, who used the screen name Wolf Dog. Officials with Hamilton County Superior Court issued search warrants in March for two of Elliott’s accounts after it was determined the accounts were involved in child exploitation, the affidavit said.

Officials noted after serving the search warrant they found 3.4 gigabytes of data, including videos and pictures for analysis from the residence associated with Elliott. Google officials were also able to provide information, including photos stored on servers. The search history showed Elliott looked for inappropriate photos of JonBenet Ramsey, a 6-year-old girl who was killed in 1996 in Colorado, the affidavit said.

Elliott informed officials he deletes child pornography photos when he gets them; there were child pornography images on his phone and he admitted to using the internet to search for child pornography hundreds of times. Officials were able to find inappropriate photos on his phone as well, the affidavit said.

Elliott was arraigned in Hancock County Superior Court 1 Thursday, April 29 where the court set a cash bond of $2,000, entered a not guilty plea on Elliott’s behalf and appointed attorney Jeff McClarnon to represent him. Elliott has a pretrial conference set for June 2.
