HANCOCK COUNTY — Hancock County Community Organization Active in Disaster, or COAD, will run an exercise from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Brandywine Community Church.

The organization is seeking volunteers to help COAD test its procedures for processing unaffiliated volunteers who come into the county to help during a disaster. Since this is an exercise and organizers would have no idea how many volunteers would show up in a real emergency, there is no registration.

COAD is asking for volunteers to show up at the church, 1551 E. New Road, any time between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Door prizes will be presented as an incentive to get people to help.

More information on the exercise is available by calling Jim Peters at 317-372-2304.
