HRH memorial to honor lives lost to COVID-19

GREENFIELD — A memorial of 27 bright yellow flags will be placed on the west lawn of Hancock Regional Hospital at 1 p.m. Friday, April 2, honoring the 27 lives that were lost to COVID-19 at the hospital over the past year.

Weather permitting, a brief service will take place at the opening of the display, which will remain in place until 1 p.m. Friday, April 9. The public is welcome to visit the memorial anytime until then for a time of stillness and reflection. The hospital will follow masking and social distancing guidelines at the service.
