Claudia Fannin Kelton, 71, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021. She was the beloved bride of the late Timothy Kelton and together they lived a life of humble service to Jesus serving and loving people as pastors and missionaries. They are now reunited in everlasting peace.
How fitting of a time to be encouraged by her favorite bible verse, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
The daughter of the late Claude and Mary Fannin of New Castle, IN, she was a devoted mother who unconditionally loved and supported her three surviving children and their spouses, Angela & Richard Beadles, Valerie & Jeremy Kong and Jonathan & Katie Kelton. She was a beloved Grammy to her five grandchildren, Courtney Beadles Lohr, Caleb Kong, Micah Kelton, Gavin Kelton and Jace Kelton.
She is also survived by her brother Larry Fannin, who she loved dearly, and his wife and children Sun Fannin, Tony Fannin, Jody Ballenger, and Tejay Ballenger. Other survivors include: sister-in-law, Donna Saine Kelton; nieces, Lori Kelton, Christy Castro, Holly Daly, and Natalie Kelton; and many other beloved family members, cherished friends, and brothers & sisters in Christ.
In addition to her father and mother, her mother-in-law Myda Kelton; brother and sister-in-law, David & Brinda Kelton; brother-in-law, Nathan Kelton and brother and sister-in-law Duane & Marquita Clevenger, also preceded her in passing.
A private memorial service in celebration of Claudia’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 at SherLynd Baptist Church, and will be streamed online through the Facebook page of the church. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro VA.
