INDIANAPOLIS — The Salvation Army of Central announced that STAR Financial Bank and an anonymous donor have offered matching donations that will double dollars dropped into red kettles during the last shopping days before Christmas.

Starting on Saturday, Dec. 19 and running through Christmas Eve, cash donations will be matched up to $118,000. Shoppers who drop $5 in a Red Kettle will have their donations doubled to $10, essentially doubling the impact of their gift.

Salvation Army kettles can be found at Walmart and Kroger in Greenfield and Needler’s grocery in New Palestine. Anyone interested in volunteering to ring a bell this holiday season is invited to visit RegisterToRing.com and find a location, date, and time that works for their schedule.
