Library offers take-and-make calico corn

GREENFIELD/NEW PALESTINE — Kids in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade can pick up a free take-and-make kit to make calico corn, a bead project. Each kit contains beads, pipe cleaners and instructions necessary to complete the project. While supplies last, kits can be picked up at the children’s desk all day during open library hours on Nov. 23 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield, or the New Palestine Branch Library at 5731 West U.S. Highway 52, New Palestine. No registration necessary. One kit per participant. Downtown IMAX continues Polar Express pajama party tradition

INDIANAPOLIS — The IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St., will celebrate glad tidings with special screenings of “The Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience.” Beginning Nov. 21, the theater will host “Polar Pajama Parties.” Young moviegoers are invited to come in their pajamas with their families to see a special screening. Children under 12 receive one free ticket for every adult ticket purchased. Theater capacity is limited to 30 percent, so tickets should be reserved early.
