IHSAA girls golf regional this weekend
The Greenfield-Central girls golf team won its second straight sectional championship Monday at Hawk’s Tail of Greenfield.
Up next, the Cougars will travel to the Lapel Regional on Saturday at Edgewood Golf Club. The regional tournament begins at 9 a.m.
The Mt. Vernon Marauders and New Palestine Dragons also advanced into Saturday’s regional. Eastern Hancock’s Haleigh Cavaletto will compete at regional as an individual.
Admission to the event is free. The top three teams and top three individuals without an advancing team at regional will play in the IHSAA state finals on Friday, Oct. 2 at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.

Pairings for Unified Flag Football set
The IHSAA announced the pairings for the Third Annual Unified Flag Football State Tournament Series.
The eight teams that emerge as sectional champions will play in the regional on Saturday, Oct. 10. The state finals are on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Grand Park Sports Event Center in Westfield.
