To the editor:
In this sharply divided nation, the main difference is in how the folks on each side see America. We see America as a good, God-fearing land with pride in the country, or as an evil place that needs tearing down and rebuilt.
The conservative side sees the country as good, but with some faults, but freedom and liberty prevail like no where else on Earth. The freedom of speech and expression are what make America great. The Democratic left and socialists want to stifle free speech at every turn, control education to its ends, and ultimately disarm the populace to complete the takeover. God must be removed from everywhere possible, as we see happening daily, and "bad" history erased, so it will soon be forgotten, as in the destruction of monuments and statues.
As in other despotic regimes, the state must be the "religion." Rigging elections with the rampant fraud that ballot harvesting presents is another socialist/left goal, and having the leftist media support these ideas is making it easier for the left to convey their message to uninformed viewers who never get the truth from the "news" they watch.
If the left wins the White House in November, the country may be on an irreversible downward slope into banana republic corruption and squalor. The borders will be wide open, with millions of poor flooding in for the free medical, housing, welfare and food the Democratic left is promising them… in return for votes. If the country takes this path, there will be horrendous times ahead, as a revolution or civil war could result quite easily. We need to keep America free, and allow only legal, controlled immigration. If the Democrats win, the country loses, and loses big. Let us hope and pray that Providence is still looking over us.
