GREENFIELD
Fairy F. (Frazier) Banks, age 91, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Crownpointe Senior Living in Greenfield. She was born in Uz, Kentucky on February 12, 1929 to Andrew and Eva (Ison) Frazier.
Fairy married Edgar A. Banks on March 10, 1948 in Kentucky.
She worked for Madison State Hospital as a psychiatric technician for 25 years before retiring in 1991. Fairy was a member of Heather Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis. She liked cooking, gardening, crocheting, and entertaining family and friends.
Fairy is survived by her husband, Edgar Banks of Greenfield; sons, Edward W. (Marilyn) Banks of New Palestine and David A. (Kathleen) Banks of Reidsville, NC; daughter, Beverly Moss of New Palestine; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Faye (Carlos) Banks of Greenfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Eva Frazier; infant sister, Doris Frazier; sister, Fern Roseberry; and brother, Jack Frazier.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Private burial will take place at Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown, IN. As a reminder, masks are required in public indoor spaces and please practice social distancing.
