KNIGHTSTOWN — A 31-year-old Shirley man died in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night, July 30, in Henry County.
Jason Bridgeman, 31, was northbound on Grant City Road before 10:30 p.m. when he apparently lost control of his 2007 Chevrolet Impala as it went over a slight rise in the road just north of State Road 109, a news release from Indiana State Police said. The car veered off the right side of the road and rolled over, landing on its top partially in a ditch, according to a preliminary investigation by troopers and the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. Bridgeman, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but investigators think speed played a role in the crash.
