Congressional candidate to host prayer event

GREENFIELD — The Democratic candidate for Indiana’s 6th Congressional District seat will have a prayer vigil at the Hancock County Courthouse on Saturday, July 18.

Jeannine Lee Lake is running against incumbent Republican Greg Pence. As part of her campaign, Lake said, she has been meeting with religious leaders throughout the district to discuss issues including the recent protests nationwide against police violence.

Religious leaders and members of the public are invited to join Lake for prayers and discussion outside the courthouse at 11 a.m. Saturday. More information can be found on Lake’s Facebook page or by calling 765-212-7537.
