New Pal Dragons 2009 10U travel softball team, playing in Level B and open tournaments, defeated second- and fourth-ranked teams from Ohio during its run to the Patriot tournament championship on May 30-31 in Harrison, Ohio. It was a team effort on defense and at the plate, including three pitchers, especially Cara Steele who was 5-0 on the weekend. The Dragons next play Sunday, June 14, in Columbus, Ind., in the Crushing Carona tourney.
