State: Hancock County’s COVID-19 deaths now up to 11

HANCOCK COUNTY — The Indiana State Department of Health added one COVID-19 death to Hancock County’s total on Saturday, May 2 and another on Sunday, May 3.

That raised the county’s death toll from the novel coronavirus to 11.

By Sunday, the state had recorded 1,809 total tests for which results have been received in Hancock County.

Statewide COVID-19 data Sunday stood at 19,933 positive cases, 1,132 deaths and 108,859 total tests.

According to the latest data available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. had recorded almost 1.1 million cases of COVID-19 and more than 64,000 deaths from the disease.
