INDIANAPOLIS — USAToday/10Best recently announced The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis as the winner in the 2020 USAToday/10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest for the Best Children’s Museum. The nomination was carefully made by an expert panel of travel journalists from around the country and then voted upon by the public to determine who was most deserving of this honor.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis celebrated an all-time attendance record of 1.3 million visitors in 2019. Exhibits last year included permanent exhibits in addition to Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds; PAW Patrol Adventure Play; Hot Wheels™: Race to Win™; Treasures of Ancient Greece; First & Goal with partners the Indianapolis Colts; Hotel of Spells (The Children’s Museum Guild’s annual Haunted House); and Jolly Days Winter Wonderland.

The year 2020 will feature: Pigeon and Pals! A Mo Willems Art and Play Exhibit (through May 10); Wild Weather (March 14 — Jan. 10, 2021); Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience (March 14 — Nov. 1); and Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™ (opening May 30).
