Transportation initiative hosting public meeting

ANDERSON — A regional transportation initiative impacting part of Hancock County has a public input session coming up.

The 2045 inMotion meeting is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in the Reardon Auditorium lobby at Anderson University, 1100 E. Fifth St., Anderson.

Gabe Klein, a national innovation and mobility expert, co-founder of CityFi and author of “Start-up City,” will also speak at the meeting.

2045 inMotion started in April 2019 when the Madison County Council of Governments embarked on a process to overhaul the long-range transportation plan for the Anderson Metropolitan Planning Area. The process guides the expenditure of about $113 million in federal transportation funding for the area encompassing all of Madison County, Fortville and Daleville. The process has focused on a regional public engagement strategy that includes in-person and online opportunities.
