Sheriffs’ association scholarships available

INDIANA — The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association will award college scholarships to qualified high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in criminal justice studies.

The association will award about 40 $750 scholarships to qualifying students throughout the state.

To qualify for one of the scholarships, the applicant must be an Indiana resident; a current member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association; attend an Indiana college or university; major in a law enforcement field and enroll as a full-time student (12 hours).

Applications are available from high school counselors and sheriff’s offices. They can also be downloaded at indianasheriffs.org. Applications must be completed and received by the sheriff’s association on or before April 1.
