Grants available for downtown buildings
GREENFIELD — Owners of buildings in downtown Greenfield are eligible to seek grants for façade improvements.
The grants, made through Greenfield Main Street, are matching funds worth up to $3,000 for enhancements for windows, awnings, painting, tuckpointing, signage and other exterior upgrades and repairs.
Eligible structures include homes and businesses.
Deadline for applications for the 2020 cycle is 4 p.m. March 11. Applicants can drop off completed applications at city hall, 10 S. State St., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. They also can be emailed to jfitz [email protected]. Applications are available at www.greenfieldmainstreet.org.
A separate Greenfield Historic Board of Review Application must be submitted by 4 p.m. March 27.
Applicants will be interviewed April 1, if necessary, and grant recipients will be notified by April 22.
