FAIRLAND
Dorothy M. Herron, 93, passed away January 9, 2020. She was born August 29, 1926 to the late Lando and Mildred Heiny.
Dorothy attended Mount Comfort High School. She was employed with Meridian Mortgage for several years and then in retail for 15 years. Dorothy was a member of Brookside Chapter #481 O.E.S. and Ladies of the Moose Lodge #17.
Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services there Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sharon S. McConnell (Thomas G., Sr.); brothers, Lando “Bud” and Ronald Lee Heiny; grandchildren, Lynn McConnell-Mills and Thomas Gregg McConnell, Jr.; five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Williams, James Heiny and William Heiny. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
