To the editor:
West Main Street and West New Road are now ruined for traffic, and North State Street is next.
Nobody I know thinks that it is an improvement to clog traffic on Main and New and to make left hand turns as inconvenient as possible on State. Many cities would be thrilled to have four lane streets, so why are we reducing some of ours to two lanes, making it impossible to pass slower vehicles?
And how can anyone be so inconsistent as to make left turns easier on Main and New but much harder on State Street?
If all of this mess was put to a vote it would be a landslide against. Why would Mayor Fewell let this happen?
