Recorder: Firm charging exorbitant document fees
GREENFIELD — An Indianapolis company is targeting some Hancock County residents to provide land record documents for a large fee, according to the Hancock County Recorder’s Office.
Property Records of Indianapolis is not associated with Hancock County government, a news release from the recorder’s office states.
Public documents are available at the Hancock County Annex, 111 American Legion Place, Greenfield. Most property records cost $1 per page.
