GREENFIELD
Phyllis C. Bills, age 84, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019. She attended Rushville Schools. She was born in Rushville on March 31, 1935 to Oliver Dale Newman and Agnes Ruth (Barnard) Newman Swinford. She married Dale Bills on December 21, 1957 in Connersville.
Phyllis had worked for Rushville Furniture Factory. She was a member of Faith Apostolic Church in Greenfield.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Jerry) Cole-Miles and Debra Fowler both of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Eric Thiem) Masters, Christopher (Cassie) Cole, and Dale (Nichole) Fowler all of Greenfield; six great-grandchildren, Jonathon Masters, Carlie Masters, Adalyn Cole, Andon Cole, David Fowler, and Nikolas Fowler all of Greenfield; and a brother, Charles (Barbara) Newman of Rushville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Bills; stepfather, Vora Swinford; son, Robert D. Bills; sister, Ruth Ellen Newman; and sons-in-law, Keith Cole and David Fowler.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Park Cemetery, 621 S. State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Pastor John Reading will be officiating.
