Hot dog party is Sept. 28

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Faith United Methodist Church will have a neighborhood hot dog party from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 28 at the church, 328 N. Swope St.

Otterbein ice cream social is Sunday

GREENFIELD — Otterbein United Methodist Church will have a free community ice cream social from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. It will feature Sundaes Homemade Ice Cream with all the toppings, or feel free to have it plain. The church is located at 2901 W. County Road 200N, Greenfield (corner of 200 North and 300 West).

Mission Celebration begins today

GREENFIELD — Mission Celebration is going on today and Sunday at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Ave.

An ice cream social begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 21) in the Ministry Center at the church. A service takes place at 7 p.m. with John Rinehimer, vice president of mobilization and communications for World Gospel Mission, speaking and Adams Voice singing. Junior worship with Jim and Mary Newman of MMS Aviation also happens at 7.

Baby-sitting is provided for all services.

Services Sunday start at 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. with Rinehimer speaking and Adams Voice singing. The Newmans will be at Junior Worship in Room 11.

After the 11:15 a.m. service, a catered dinner follows in the Ministry Center with everything provided.

Junior high and high school students will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday for Youth Missions Night with Gerson and Betsy Tejeda, who minister with World Gospel Mission along the Texas/Mexico border.

Bazaar looks ahead to Christmas

NEW PALESTINE — The United Methodist Women at New Palestine United Methodist Church will have their annual 94 Days Until Christmas Craft & Vendor Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 21) at the church, 3565 S. County Road 500W (Gem Road).

Homecoming set for Sept. 29

GREENFIELD — Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church will have its annual Homecoming Sunday on Sept. 29. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.

Blood drive is Monday

GREENFIELD — The Bloodmobile will be located in the Bradley United Methodist Church southwest corner parking lot, 210 W. Main St., from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday.

To donate, you must be at least 19 years old (parent/guardian consent is needed for donors 16-19 years old) and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. You must also pass a brief mini-physical and health history screening, be healthy, and bring your ID.

Pulled pork dinner is Friday

FORTVILLE — Fortville United Methodist Women plan a pulled pork dinner and crafts and bake sale from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Fortville United Methodist Church, 125 E. Staat St.

Dinner is $10 and includes a pulled pork sandwich by Rollin’ Smoke BBQ, baked beans, corn casserole, cole slaw, dessert and drink. A children’s meal of hot dog, chips, applesauce and drink is available for $5.

FORTVILLE — Fortville Church of the Nazarene will have Generations Celebration Sunday on Sept. 29, featuring Scott Swan as guest speaker. The church will also recognize and honor Fortville-McCordsville Chamber of Commerce during this service as it launches its Community Connection Day. The service begins at 10:45 a.m.
