Marauders pick up win
With a 5-0 victory Wednesday over Warren Central, Mt. Vernon improved to 13-1 on the season.
The Marauders swept doubles play with wins from the No. 1 group of Justin Lemke and Jackson Dunlavy and the No. 2 team of Dallas Turner and Owen Koon.
In singles, Chris Hays, Haiden Rose and Reece Powell each earned victories.
Dragons get HHC victory
New Palestine edged New Castle, 3-2, to earn a Hoosier Heritage Conference road win on Wednesday
At No. 1 singles, Ben Blachly won by set scores of 6-0, 6-1. At No. 2, Colin Darley had a convincing win, 6-2, 6-2.
The other victory was a 6-3, 6-1 triumph for the No. 1 doubles team of Ethan Haeberle and Ezra Schwier.
Cougars edge Arabians
Greenfield-Central swept singles matches in a 3-2 victory over host Pendleton Heights, Wednesday.
Robbie Dye won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Garrett Neumeister added a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles. Carson Gibson made it a clean sweep in singles play with at 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 3.
G-C is 6-10 overall and 2-4 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference.
Royals earn 4-1 win at BRV
Eastern Hancock grabbed its third straight win on Wednesday, improving to 6-2 with a 4-1 victory at Blue River Valley.
The Royals made it a clean sweep in singles action. Kodey Huff won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Nolan Stout was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 2 singles. Frosh Zeke Dixon won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
In doubles play, the No. 2 group of John McDaniel and Bryce Wennen won 6-3, 6-0.
Girls golf
Dragons earn win
In the final match of the regular season on Wednesday, New Palestine defeated Rushville 195-233 at The Links.
After a double bogey on the opening hole of the match, Annaliese Fox came back to lead the Dragons with a one-under-par 35.
Izzy Gray followed with a 48. To round out the team scoring, Rachel Purnell and Traci Olsen shot 54 and 58, respectively.
